Spring 2021

Allen Armenia 1st trip

Meetings with Armenian government, industry, universities, businesses, engineers. Observe state of development & projects. Assess peoples skills & critical issues in Armenia.

Spring 2022

Allen propulsion focus

An important area of engineering which makes a significant impact on the effectiveness & cost of the solutions that the ‘domestic industry’ is creating. Establishing a lab would enable domestic technology development & manufacturing.

Summer 2022

Government suggests grant

HTI diaspora project financing program ‘Neruzh’, HTI enters Allen with project ‘Propulsion Lab’. Strategy for lab & specific projects are detailed.

Late 2022

Lab -> business conversion

To receive financial support in Armenia the lab had to be converted into a business project with a staged development strategy based on bare minimum finances. Many discussions to find a solution.

1st half of 2023

Building propulsion foundations

Accumulate all relevant literature & CAD software. Scope of projects, product variants, component selections, cost estimations.

Summer 2023

Neruzh 4 event

Grant competition with business pitch. Propulsion Lab was awarded 1st place with prize 15MԴ AMD.

Late 2023

Requesting funding

After 3 years of supporting Armenia, Allen was out of financial resources & paused project development /engineering since no financial support was found from any organisation or individual.

Early 2024

Armenia Issues

Rejected by all Armenian banks & government not providing grant funds due to their system not working resulting in a 1 year delay.

October 2024

Grant funds received

Contract signed with government for 6 stages of development to start propulsion lab project development. Approximately 11MԴ AMD received. The funds are helpful but not sufficient to do anything meaningful.

Late 2024

Requesting Դ100M support for project:

Develop electric motor controller hardware & software.
New technology demonstration.
New measurement machine prototype.
Electric motor prototype.
The grant funds cover 10% of project objectives cost or 1% of lab creation cost.

2025

Armenia Issues

Customs, national security, & other government issues causing delays & additional costs resulting in another delay of more than 1 year.

May 2026

Final request for Դ100M support to start project:

Unable to start without being able to purchase all necessary components, parts, materials, etc.
Unable to pay engineers for development work.
Unable to pay rent & basic living expenses.
Unable to put personal life on hold any longer.

+6 months after funding

1st prototype technology demonstration

Superior electric motor control computer hardware & software technology demonstration.

After demonstration

Additional 100MԴ (AMD) funding:

Product development, manufacturing, demonstration.
Business development.

+4 months

1st product

Superior motor control computer development & production establishment for regional market.

+6 months

Profitable business

Optimised computer product variations.
New measurement machine product & service.
Integrated propulsion subsystem solutions.

Infinite & Beyond

Business growth

International market supplier.
Expand technology development to create solutions for additional markets.

Financial support is essential for Propulsion Lab at this stage, development can be accelerated significantly to support creation of Armenian industry.
